Throughout pregnancy and postpartum, we're often told what we can't do. Through our Baby Mama Pilates class, you'll be given the modifications and tools to either start or continue your Pilates practice, to feel strong and connected to your body and baby, and seen in our community of moms.
Pilates is the perfect workout specifically for pregnant women as it focuses on strengthening the pelvis floor, which helps you healthily and safely carry your baby through pregnancy all the way to pushing during delivery. We'll guide you through proper modifications to commonly used exercises, so your body is cared for. We are here to make sure you and your baby are safe while practicing Pilates through every step of your pregnancy!
We tailor the Pilates practices to be safe for pregnant and postpartum women. We omit core work (goodbye abs, hello baby belly!), we do not lie on our stomachs and we target those mom muscles! This is all about what's healthy and safe for expecting moms only!
This intimate class is limited to 5-people (and mom's only!). While caring for our bodies and babies, we'll connect with other mom's in a non-intimidating, safe atmosphere.
This class is different because we have the pregnant body in mind. We omit core work (goodbye abs, hello baby belly!), we do not lie on our stomachs and we target those mom muscles! This is all about what's healthy and safe for expecting moms only!
While starting something new during your pregnancy may not always be the best idea, our Baby Mama classes are so safe and intentionally created, so you can come in during your pregnancy for the first time and get a safe workout in a fun environment.
We use the reformer, hand weights, some TRX and booty bands.
Yes, we make our modifications safe for all stages of pregnancy, as well as postpartum.
When I was a new mom building out Pilates 214, I realized the Dallas market does not offer a regularly scheduled class for women in my position to build strength and stay active the way I'm used to. I also didn't have any pregnant friends at the time. This selfishly helped me meet other new moms and create the community I craved!
